The first degree of Reiki works on the principle Heal Thyself First. 

Practicing Reiki as path, you establish deep safety and ground, from the root. Focusing on the lower dantien, or hara - your power center - you nourish the nervous system and heal the self on all levels, across all space and time. 

During our 6 week spiral journey together you will learn how to run Reiki for yourself and others, and also:

• More on the Buddhist and Taoist roots of the Reiki system, how to live and practice mindfulness and energy cultivation so the chi enlivens and permeates all that you do
• How to use Buddhist and Taoist mantras, sound activations and chanting of the Japanese kotodama, word spirits, that formed part of the original Reiki system
• The DNA level healing of crystal technology and stone medicine to amplify Reiki and heal ancestral wounds 
• How to set up and work with an altar as your personal power center
• Simple Taoist energy medicine techniques to activate your life force, give power to your communication and boost your immune system
• Other rich energy medicine tools you can weave into your healing work

• Reiju - an original empowerment, as given by Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki. This sacred transmission will attune you to the Shoden Level of Reiki (Level 1)

i've been thinking a lot about points of connection lately. specifically, about the metaphor of indira's net and the interconnectivity of all beings. i've been thinking about this in reflecting back over 2022, and i was struck by the fact that since i began my journey with star and stone's shoden level reiki course in march 2022, i have felt a growing sense of my interconnectivity with all life. it began quietly. one day, it occurred to me that i was walking between the falling raindrops.

i use the self-healing practices passed on by sarah and adrianna to improve my well being on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. reiki has become my instinctive response to daily life. an ambulance screams by on the road and i raise my hands and send reiki to the patient and the crew. my knee aches and i reach for reiki to ease it. i call on reiki to calm my kitty's digestive issues. i feel much like dorothy clicking the heels of her ruby slippers. who knew this power has always been right here at my fingertips?

I’m Adrianna Renee Velez. I help women activate their wild, divine life force. I’m an international Feminine Energy Mentor and Reiki Master teacher with over 27 years on this path. My dharma is to help humanity awaken to their true nature. I dream of empowering over 100,000 individuals to Reiki for the benefit of all beings.
